Everything for the routine care of a De'Longhi automatic coffee machine in one box: a water filter, EcoDecalk descaler, Eco MultiClean for the milk system, a microfibre cloth and a water hardness test strip. Genuine De'Longhi DLSC306 (AS00010167).
Where to start
- Run the hardness test strip and set the result in the machine's menu. The descale reminders then match your actual water.
- Fit the water filter: date dial two months ahead, soak it in water, push it into the tank socket.
- Keep EcoDecalk for when the machine asks. Each descale uses 100 ml.
- Use Eco MultiClean weekly on the milk carafe and steam parts if you make milk drinks most days.
Is the kit cheaper than buying separately?
The filter alone is $29.95 and the 500 ml EcoDecalk is $29.95, so the kit pays for itself if you need both. You also get the MultiClean, the cloth and the test strip. If you only need descaler, the 500 ml bottle works out better per descale than the kit's 200 ml.
How often should I descale?
When the machine prompts you. The harder your water, the sooner that comes, which is exactly what the included test strip settles.
