The machine

The E61 group has anchored serious espresso since 1961: chrome-plated brass, held at temperature by a thermosyphon loop. It is the reason the first shot of the morning tastes like the tenth.
Behind it, the heat-exchange boiler steams milk while the shot pours. Dial in the boiler once; the PID remembers.

The La Pavoni Cellini Mini X is a semi-professional heat exchanger espresso machine built for the home barista who wants commercial results in a compact footprint. Its E61 group head, 58 mm portafilter and PID boiler temperature control put it in the same conversation as machines twice its size, while the 1.5 litre heat-exchange boiler lets you brew espresso and steam milk at the same time.
At just 24 cm wide, it is one of the most compact E61 espresso machines available in Australia, with a 1.7 litre removable water tank, double-scale pressure gauge, eco mode and stand-by settings. It ships with a double-spout portafilter, single, double and blind filter baskets, a stainless steel tamper and scoop, cleaning brush and water filter, and is covered by a two-year manufacturer's warranty. It comes in three finishes: polished stainless steel (LPSMXS02AU), white with oak (LPSMXW02AU) and black with walnut (LPSMXB02AU), all genuine Australian-certified models.
